It's official! The contracts have been signed to bring the 2019 Babe Ruth World Series to Municipal Ballpark, Home of Dakota Community Bank and Trust Field in Bismarck.

The contract signing took place this morning (August 28th) at the offices of the Bismarck Parks and Recreation District. The league's officials, along with Babe Ruth League Senior Vice President and National Commissioner Robert Faherty were on hand for the signing. According to KX News, Faherty had good things to say about the leaders in the Bismarck community:

The ballpark is in immaculate condition...The Municipal Ballpark is something that we'd be very proud to play at. Second, we feel very strongly that the community leaders here want this activity and will make it successful.

Ten teams in all will compete in the 13-15-year-old Babe Ruth World Series tournament, which will also include a team from Bismarck, along with the North Dakota state champion in the league. All games in the tournament will take place August 8-15, 2019.
