ND Anti-Discrimination Bill Shot Down in House
Following a ninety-minute debate, the North Dakota House voted down a bill to ban discrimination based on sexual preference.
The Bismarck Tribune reports Senate Bill 2279 was voted down by a nearly two-thirds majority Thursday. Similar bills in 2009 and 2013 also fell short.
The Tribune reported Tuesday the House Human Services Committee voted 11-2 to give a do-not-pass recommendation to the bill.
