Inforum reports that authorities are searching for a possible drowning victim in the Missouri River, this afternoon. (May 12)

The incident unfolded when a fisherman found a boat that was beached on shore with the motor still idling. After authorities researched the incident, it was determined the boat belongs to a 57 year old Mandan man, who went fishing on Wednesday afternoon.

Mandan Sheriff Rescue, Game and Fish and State Police are on the scene near Fort Rice, near the boat ramp, using sonar, and searching by boat and air.
