It seems only fitting that Bismarck-Mandan's first snowfall of the season may happen during North Dakota's Winter Weather Awareness Week, which begins today.

The Bismarck Tribune spoke with meteorologist Ken Simosko, who said the region will be dealing with a couple of systems this week that will bring both rain and snow. Temperatures will also begin to drop tonight (Oct. 27th).

As for accumulation, though, don't expect too much, according to Simosko:

We’re not expecting a huge accumulation.

Another cold front is expected to enter the state on Wednesday, October 29th.
