Blizzard Warning Extended to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 6th
The National Weather Service in Bismarck has extended the Blizzard Warning for the area until 8 p.m. tonight.
Blizzard conditions will continue through out the afternoon and evening hours, mostly east of US Highway 85 with gusty winds up to 55 mph which has reduce visibility to zero in some areas due to blowing snow.
Very dangerous wind chill values will set in tonight and Wednesday and will continue through Friday with wind chills of minus 30.
Bismarck Police are asking residents to stay off of city streets as some vehicles are stranded in some intersections around town creating a hazard.
Some of the communities effected include Bismarck, Mandan, Fort Yates, Steele, New Salem, Stanley, Beulah, Washburn, Elgin, Carson, Solen, Underwood and Garrison.
