By now, you've noticed the bicycle lanes the cities of Bismarck and Mandan have installed on the city streets over the last few years. This effort has paid off.
Luckily for us, traffic is not too bad of a problem. Even during rush hour, you can still get to one end of town in less than 15- 20 minutes. Yet, the American Community Survey looked at each state to determined the worst city for the average commute to work or school. You'd be surprised at where the worst city for a commute is in North Dakota.
Travelmath recently ranked the top airports in the country, big and small. The rankings go from #1 to #322. North Dakota has several airports that landed on the list.
As I was doing this story I was thinking, North Dakota would be high on this list due to the high price of gas in Bismarck compared to the rest of the country. I was not surprised when I saw how high NoDak ranked on the list of the most expensive states to own and operate a car according to 24/7 Wall St.
