Don’t Monkey Around At Dakota Zoo!

A Mandan woman is in hot water for monkeying around at the Dakota Zoo.The Bismarck Tribune reports the eighteen year-old faces a trespassing charge after leaping over a fence Friday to touch a monkey.

Zoo video reportedly shows the woman touching the monkey through the outer wall of its cage. The woman also allegedly posted a photo on Snapchat.

A spokesperson for the Bismarck Police Department says they have forwarded the case to the city attorney for review.

Biologists say despite their cuddly appearance, monkeys can be dangerous. They bite and scratch, and have been known to spread disease.
