One of the huge drag-lines that hauls coal at the Falkirk Mine collapse this morning near Washburn.

According to the mine spokesperson , there are no injuries being reported and no major damage to the equipment. It seems like the equipment started to fault yesterday afternoon. It was a gradual event so everyone was able to get out of harms way, plus the staff was able to place dirt underneath to keep it from damaging the equipment further once it fell.

A company spokesperson said the drag-line could be out from 3-10 days. It weighs 13.5 million pounds and was built in 70's. Great River Energy supplies energy to parts of Minnesota.
