FOX’s Family Guy stands as only one corner of Seth MacFarlane’s animation empire, but it wasn’t terribly long ago the series became of one of the first shows revived by DVD sales. Not only that, but do you know what honor Family Guy shares with The Flintstones? That answer and more are just some of the freakin’ sweet facts from the 15th episode of ‘You Think You Know TV?,’ which heads to Quahog for FOX’s Family Guy!

MacFarlane drew inspiration on the series from his own Rhode Island School of Design short “The Life of Larry,” and it wasn’t long before both FOX and Hanna Barbera had eyes on MacFarlane’s talent. Family Guy itself first premiered in 1999 in the coveted post-Super Bowl slot, before dwindling to a Season 3 cancellation, but since its return has garnered three Emmys, even becoming the first animated series to win Outstanding Comedy Series since The Flintstones.
