The family of Olivia Lone Bear say the body found a few days ago in a pickup truck is indeed that of the missing New Town woman.

MyNDNow says the family published a statement on social media, saying an "official" statement will come at the end of the week.

The young mother disappeared last October and the family have largely conducted their own independent search.

A search team using sonar came across the submerged truck last weekend near a boat ramp at Sahnish Bay. Authorities retrieved the truck about 100 feet from the dock.

A body was found in the truck but authorities at the time would not confirm that it was the body of Ms. Lone Bear, though the truck is the one in which she was last seen.

The FBI is overseeing the autopsy and have yet to make an official state on the identity.
