A federal judge Wednesday overturned North Dakota's much-disputed "six week" abortion ban.
U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland said the law is "invalid and unconstitutional" and that it wouldn't hold up against a "constitutional challenge."
The law banned abortions when the "fetal heart" could be detected, which happens as early as six weeks, before many women even realize they're pregnant.
The state attorney general says he is considering an appeal.
