Suddenly I WISH I was in school again, let me rephrase that, I REALLY WISH I was in the Bismarck Career Academy

Even though I have a major fear of heights and I avoid flying as much as I can, I would be thrilled to be a part of this. Have you ever had a chance to experience a true motion simulator? Imagine sitting there and going through all the motions and training of a real-life pilot. This is the opportunity given to the Bismarck Career Academy.

This isn't something that most schools have available...

...THIS is a HUGE honor bestowed on them - According to a recent post from the Bismarck Public Schools Facebook page "The Career Academy and Technical Center -BPS has received the generous donation of a Redbird Full Motion Flight Simulator from the KJ Carpenter Foundation. The simulator was donated with hopes of providing greater access to training and exploration for students with an interest in the field of aviation. As a result of the donation, the Bismarck Career Academy is now one of the only schools in the upper Midwest to offer students training opportunities with an on-site full-motion flight simulator. The Redbird simulator is one of the few advanced aviation training devices that are certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)."

I'm guessing this is twenty million times better than a video game

Invaluable I would say - the information these kids will learn by having a "Hands-On" - A full set-up right in front of their eyes of a cockpit, and instruments with switches and buttons to emulate a real flight. All that adds up to AMAZING.
