Minot police responded to the pops of gunshots on the south side of town Saturday night.

Minot cops flooded the area of the 600 block of 6th Avenue SW around 11:00p.m, and while on the scene, cops heard more gun shots in the night around the 5th Ave. area. Cops responded to the area where the gunshots were heard.

City police say 24-year-old Quinn Campbell fled the scene at a high rate of speed in a car. Officer caught up with Campbell, stopped the car and found  9-millimeter shell casings, a hand gun and drugs.

Campbell was booked into the Ward County jail with several charges including felony charges of possession of a concealed firearm, possession of drugs and reckless endangerment.
