An unnamed 29-year-old man from Hazen was arrested the morning of November 20 after he was accused of counterfeiting bills in a motel room.

Bismarck police picked up the suspect after finding him at a Motel 6 Thursday. They obtained a warrant to search his room, which uncovered a computer he had used for printing counterfeit money, among other items used for such.

The man already had other outstanding warrants for his arrest, and added to the counterfeiting charge will be another for using someone else's ID.

The Motel 6 clerk checked the $100 bill with which he had paid for the room; sure enough, it was a fake.
