That title was supposed to be a spin on 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' which has absolutely nothing to do with this article. It's time to find out where the coldest town in North Dakota is.

Recently, the good people at 24/7 Wall St. decided to do the research and find out where the coldest town in every state is. This was done by finding the towns in each state with the lowest average annual temperatures. For the record, if you think that the coldest town in North Dakota is Bismarck, you're wrong.

If you want to find the coldest town in the Peace Garden State, from Bismarck, you would need to travel approximately 3 hours and 7 minutes north-northeast to the city of Belcourt. The town is just south of Canada and has a little over 2,000 people.

Belcourt's average low temperature is 24.7 degrees Fahrenheit and during our coldest month, January, it's average low temperature is -6.2. For an average of about 205 days per year, the temperature there is at or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

There you have it. As we approach the winter months, and it gets to be brutally cold, just know there is most likely somewhere in North Dakota that is colder than where you are. That is, of course, unless you're in Belcourt.
