There is a move to legalize marijuana in North Dakota. But it's still far from being on the ballet.

A group that wants to make it legal for North Dakotans' to posses medical weed will submit a petition Tuesday to the Secretary of State's office for approval so they can start the process, meaning to get signatures to put the measures on the ballet next year.

If the petition is approved, the committee will need to over 13,000 valid signatures by July 11 to get the measure on the November ballet. (2016)

If passes, the law would make it legal for citizens to posses up to 3 ounces of medical marijuana.
