Lincoln Man Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison in Domestic Dispute Case

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Lincoln man accused of stabbing a woman and holding her against her will during a domestic dispute that left his mother dead has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Thirty-six-year-old Christopher Vick recently pleaded guilty to felony charges of attempted murder and felonious restraint.

Vick was accused of stabbing his brother's fiancee and holding her against her will on May 30. Authorities say the dispute left Vick's 62-year-old mother, Alice Vick, dead, though no one has been charged in her death.

An autopsy concluded Alice Vick died of a blow to the head. Police say they're continuing to investigate.
