MINOT, N.D. (AP) — Authorities have arrested a man alleged to have led law officers on a lengthy chase after burglarizing a Minot home.

McLean County deputies arrested the suspect Monday as he walked along U.S. Highway 83 near Underwood, about 60 miles south of Minot.

The 45-year-old man allegedly fled during a traffic stop in Minot on Sunday night and led officers on a chase through Minot, then out of the city south on Highway 83 and into McLean County. City, county and state Highway Patrol officers were involved.

Authorities say the suspect eventually crashed his vehicle but deputies did not immediately find him after he then fled on foot.
