Summer fun is here! July and August are the best times for party people as North Dakota always features many music festivals and fairs. After all, we have to take advantage of the warm temperatures while we can before the winter months.

One of the major events is ND Country Fest, which starts Thursday at the Morton County Fairgrounds in New Salem.

If you're going to be camping or attending several or all days of the festival, you should know there are items that are a MUST.

First, plenty of sunscreen lotion, the current weather is looking like hot and dry! The daytime temperatures will be in the lower to mid 90's all three days and no mention of rain until Sunday. There is nothing worse than returning to work on Monday with a major sunburn.

If you're camping, with all of the rain and moisture the area has had as of late, you know we have mosquitoes and how aggravating without some form of repellent.

Speaking of camping, the information you need to know is here. Camping tickets come with one vehicle camping pass, one camping pass. You can place an RV, camper or tents on your 20' x 50' area. The maximum number of people per spot is 10. Be sure to read the camping pass carefully for all of the important information regarding camping at NDCF. New this year at NDCF are premium shower facilities. There will also be ATM machines throughout the festival grounds. Uber and Lyft also service New Salem and NDCF. Don't DRINK AND DRIVE!

Be sure to look for the stations of Townsquare Media in the campgrounds. This will serve as broadcast central for Hot 975, US1033, 965 The Fox and Cool 987FM. Plus, be sure to listen on the app, online or live on the radio for continuous updates from Thursday through Saturday from your favorite radio station. (if you cooking or grilling, be sure to add extra meat on the grill and invite us!!)

And the radio stations will be live Tweeting and blogging throughout the festival weekend with information and pictures from the grounds and concerts.

Right now at Seize the Deal.com, there are discounted three-day passes for $70 each. These discounted tickets are very limited. Get them while they last.

Stay here for continuous updates on ND Country Fest!
