BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Chances are good that people driving on a North Dakota highway Wednesday will see a Highway Patrol trooper.

The patrol says the day before Thanksgiving is one of the busiest travel days of the year, and the agency is ramping up traffic and safety enforcement. All available troopers are taking to the roads.

Patrol Col. James Prochniak says motorists should remember that driving is "a full-time responsibility," and that driving responsibly is the most important factor in arriving at a destination safely.
