BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota's Commerce Department has awarded grants to four tribal colleges to develop workforce training programs for students.

Grants of $1 million are going to Turtle Mountain Community College in Belcourt, United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck and Sitting Bull College in Fort Yates. Cankdeska Cikana Community College in Fort Totten is getting about half a million dollars.

The Legislature earlier this year authorized $5 million in workforce development grants for tribal colleges.
