North Dakota State scored 35 points in the first quarter on their way to a 56-0 shutout of Robert Morris on Saturday afternoon.

Lance Dunn scored four touchdowns, one for every time he touched that ball. Dunn had 3 rushing carries (61, 5, and 45 yards) that found the end zone for 111 yards and 1 catch for a 10 yard score in one of the most efficient games any running back could have.

Bison quarterback Easton Stick was 11 of 15 for 132 yards and 2 touchdowns and Tre Dempsey returned an interception 23 yards for a touchdown on the defensive side.

NDSU (3-0) scored touchdowns on 7 of their 9 first half possessions as they held a 49-0 lead at halftime.

The Bison outgained Robert Morris (2-2) in total yards 450-57, while also holding the Colonials quarterback to 3 of 16 passing for just 13 yards and 2 interceptions. The Colonials were only allowed a total of 4 first downs by the Bison defense, which also forced 4 turnovers in the shutout.

NDSU will play their homecoming game against Missouri St. next Saturday at 1 p.m.
