If you've been following NFL free agency, you've probably noticed the Philadelphia Eagles have remained fairly active. It seems Carson Wentz is indirectly responsible to some extent.

Last week, veteran offensive deep threat, wide receiver Mike Wallace signed with the Philadelphia Eagles and essentially said that Wentz was "99 percent" the reason for his decision on where to play. At about the 4:20 mark of the interview below, Wallace talks about how he consulted his friends (NFL players) around the league, including NFL Hall of Famers, and he said the answer was the same throughout, "Carson, Carson, Carson."

As a result, Wallace passed on more money from offers with other teams to sign with the Eagles and add a deep threat in the passing game for Wentz, as soon as he's healthy enough to play.

Speaking of which, as Wentz is recovering from a torn left ACL and LCL injuries, some may wonder, how is his rehab going?...Eagles Coach Doug Pederson has recently said that Wentz is "ahead of schedule."

It's ongoing and will continue to be said in terms of Wentz's return, but time will tell. All the same, it's pretty awesome when NFL Hall of Famers are telling free agents, 'Choose the Eagles, because Carson Wentz.'
