Nixon’s Back! Well, sort of…

As Dave Barry noted, baby boomers may have wanted to emulate JFK, but the person who always seemed to stand out was Nixon.

Now, as history buffs observe the fortieth anniversary of his resignation from the presidency, it seems this most enigmatic figure has returned - via Twitter.

As reported on the Fox Business Channel (by way of AP), @Dick_Nixon is apparently very much alive on Twitter, sounding off on the issues of the day.

Some have speculated on the true identity of Mr. "Nixon"; in fact he is neither politician, journalist or even a member of the Nixon family, but a 33-year-old playwright from New York named Justin Sherin.

Speaking recently of current presidential contender Ted Cruz, Nixon/Sherin had this to say:

"He is a smart fellow. But he should stop swinging at pitches he can't hit yet."
