Everyone has their own go-to shows to binge-watch on Netflix. Thanks to some research done by someone with too much time on their hands, we now know what the most popular show on Netflix was in North Dakota for the past year.

The company, known simply as HighSpeedInternet.com researched what the most popular show on Netflix is for each state. A total of 47 states had a different favorite show in 2018 than they did in the previous year. North Dakota was one of those 47. The most popular show on Netflix in the Peace Garden State is 'Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life'. It's certainly a change in the type of genre from the previous year when the most popular show on Netflix for the state was 'A Series of Unfortunate Events'.

The overall most popular show on Netflix in 2018 was '13 Reasons Why' based on the fact that it was a favorite in the most states, which was seven. It edged out 'The End of the F***ing World', which was the most popular in six states.

The most bizarre result from the study may be that Washington, D.C., which was researched along with the 50 states, had a 16-way tie for its favorite show between American Vandal, Arrested Development, Black Mirror, BoJack Horseman, Dear White People, GLOW, House of Cards, Jane the Virgin, Jessica Jones, Mad Men, Maniac, Queer Eye, Sense8, The Crown, The Good Place, and the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. If you take nothing else from this, just know you at least just received plenty of new shows to binge-watch in case you were in need of one after you're done watching the reboot of 'Gilmore Girls', that is.
