You often hear of a car hitting a deer, but it is not often you don't hear about a horse and car accident. According to the Jamestown Sun, a man is dead after hitting horses in Stutsman County Saturday. According to the Stutsman County Sheriffs department, Cruz Schumacher was involved in the fatal accident. Schumacher was 24 years old. Schumacher was driving on County Road 38 when he hit three horses standing in the middle of the road. The horses were killed in the crash.

Schumacher's Pontiac Grand Prix left the road after the crash and hit a parked semitrailer which was parked off the road. The crash occurred about 1 mile west of Ypsilanti, at 5 a.m. The crash is under investigation.
