Along with the cooler temperatures and the turning leaves, it's a sign of the fall season in the Bismarck-Mandan area: the re-opening of Papa's Pumpkin Patch.

The patch's website announced the seasonal re-opening as of this past week. The season runs until October 20.

If you've never check it out, you should know that Reader's Digest has named PPP as the best in North Dakota and one of the best pumpkin patches in the entire country:

"Not only is it charming, with gorgeous grounds tailor-made for family photos, there are tons of activities for the adventurous, including zip lines, tire forts, pedal carts and pumpkin cannons."

The patch is open daily weather permitting from 12 to 7.

When the leaves are brown and the sky is grey, a visit to Papa's is just the thing. For information on how to get there and what to do, check out the Papa's website, or call with your questions at 701-222-1521.
