We've all heard of the big one that got away. You know the fishing story. We've heard it or we've told the story. It's too familiar!

For one fisherman, the story is a big one and it's a real fishing story according to KFYR-TV.

Neal Leier from Bismarck has a real story and he'll be talking about it for a while. Leier yanked a 15-pound, 13-ounce walleye from the Missouri River. He pulled the huge fish near Fox Island on Friday.

He broke a record that has stood for over 60-years. The old record fish was set in 1950 and Leier's walleye broke the old record by one ounce.
