How is the air quality in your childrens' schools?

School is back in session across the state - and many parents are expressing concern about the air conditioning issue, especially in a year which has seen some summer hot spells as well as some serious haze from the major wildfires to the west.

Two recent news items draw attention to the issue: WZFG Radio in Fargo reports the American Lung Association has issued a report claiming fifty percent of schools have "poor air quality."

A few weeks ago, the Jamestown Sun reported on a special election during which the Jamestown school board approved a $34 million bond issue, which will pay for a construction project including upgrading of air conditioning.

With several weeks of warm or hot weather likely remaining in the year, conditions in schools without proper AC could get very uncomfortable in a hurry.
