Reports from the Fargo area say the body of missing 22-year-old Savanna Greywind has been found north of Moorhead.

KXMB-TV reports Fargo Police Chief David Todd confirmed the information at 10:10 p.m. Sunday. Her family has been notified.

KX News says, "Kayakers on the Red River found the body wrapped in what appeared to be plastic near 90th Avenue North and 15th Street north of Moorhead."

The body is to be sent to Hennepin County, Minn, for an autopsy.

The discovery comes just over a week after the disappearance of Savanna LaFontaine Greywind.

The quest to find the woman had intensified since police found a newborn baby Thursday and arrested two suspects for kidnapping.

Ms. Greywind was eight months pregnant when she disappeared. The suspects had indicated to police that the infant was Ms. Greywind's, but would not answer questions at the time about the woman's whereabouts.
