In hot weather, the highway can actually explode and this was the case today in Fargo.

If your travels have you going through Fargo on I29, expect delays as a portion of the interstate exploded today (7/26) at the 17th Avenue overpass. According to the DOT, the explosion effected all 4 lanes and the shoulder of the highway. The agency says to expect "significant" delays, which is just north of the junction of I-29 and I-94.
