Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Burleigh and Surrounding Counties

The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH for most of the listening area, including the counties of Burleigh and Morton.

The Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 10 p.m., CST (5/30/16). The Severe Weather Action Team (SWAT) has been following several strong thunderstorm cells through out the afternoon.

The following counties are in the effected are;

• Burleigh
• Morton
• Cass
• Logan
• Sioux
• Steele
• Grant
• Emmons
• Wells
• Stutsman
• Grant
• Kidder

A SEVERE THUNDERTSTORM WATCH means the conditions are favorable for severe storms, including dangerous lighting, possible tornado activity and strong winds.

Be sure to stay up to date with this moving system throughout the afternoon and evening.
