Earlier in the week, we reported the attendance at the North Dakota State Fair was off, just a tad. After the weekend concerts, the tally ended up surpassing last year's number.

The Bismarck Tribune is reporting the headcount at the fair increased by close to 20,000 over 2017. The final number is 318,248.

With the final weekend of the fair having perfect weather, temperatures were well below the normal July average heat and the humidity was nice. People took advantage of the nice conditions while enjoying the final weekend of concerts including Dierks Bentley on Friday night and Nickelback on Saturday.

For the concerts, the attendance was-

  • Dierks Bentley  11,876
  • Florida Georgia Line  10,846
  • Cole Swindell  8,196
  • Kip Moore  6,895
  • Michael Ray - 5,286
  • Cheap Trick  4,211

The State Fair has announced two headline acts for 2019 including Rascal Flatts and Tim McGraw.
