Bismarck Barricade Ends in Suicide

The barricade incident that began Thursday afternoon in Bismarck has ended with the individual apparently taking his own life.

UPDATE - 5:00PM: After repeated attempts to make contact with the subject the SWAT team did make entry.  Upon entry into the apartment the person was found deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.   

The deceased is a 32-year-old male who did live at the apartment.  No one else was in the apartment when this incident occurred. [Source: Bismarck Police Department press release]

UPDATE - 2:30PM: Police have confirmed that the individual of interest is a male and he is armed. Crisis negotiators are on scene. Police have not evacuated the area but are advising those with apartments in the area to not leave their residence, move to an interior room, and close their window shades.
