If you want to go to the richest town in North Dakota, get ready for about a three and a half hour drive to Williston.

According to a study from 24/7 Wall St., Williston is the richest town in the state. The study was done on towns in each state in the U.S. with a population of 25,000 or less. The factors measured were median household income, town's workforce composition, poverty level, and level of education, among others.

> State median household income: $59,029 (15th highest)
> Town poverty rate: 8.6% (3rd highest)
> Town population: 19,849 (11th highest)

Using these measures, the study found that the richest town in America is in Scarsdale, NY where the median household income is $241,453.

All the same, given its size, Williston has it pretty good.
