Here's some completely useless trivia knowledge to add to your arsenal: the world's tallest TV tower, located in Blanchard, is owned by Fargo's KVLY-TV.

Erected in 1963, the mast stands at 2,063 ft tall, according to Wikipedia. It was the world's tallest structure until 1974, when the Warsaw radio mast was complete. That mast collapsed, though, in 1991, returning the KVLY mast to the top. It remained there until 2010, when the Burj Khalifa was completed.

Because the KVLY is a guyed mast and not a self-supporting structure, it is not included on lists of the world's tallest buildings or towers, according to Wikipedia. If it were included, though, it'd be the fourth tallest structure in the world and the tallest mast in the world.

In a video recently posted to YouTube, which you can see above, you get to see exactly what it looks like from the top of the KVLY tower, which is absolutely breathtaking. It is worth noting, however, that one commenter questions whether or not the footage contained in the video is actually from the KVLY tower.
