The University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks men's hockey team has released their full roster for the upcoming 2017-2018 season.

Last season, the Fighting Hawks finished 21-16-3 and made another appearance in the NCAA Tournament before falling to Boston University in a double-overtime thriller, 4-3. UND returns 18 members from last year's team, along with some brand new faces as they enter the new season this fall.

In the previous season, Shane Gersich, Austin Poganski, Christian Wolanin, and Rhett Gardner are back as four of the top seven point scorers on the roster, while the other three scorers of those top seven; Tyson Jost, Brock Boeser, and Tucker Poolman have all moved on to NHL teams. Gersich led the team in goal scoring last season with 21, to go with 16 assists for 47 total points, which also led the team. The Fighting Hawks have a strong squad returning with plenty of big game experience.

UND will also have eight newcomers; seven of them are freshmen. The only non-freshman newbie is Nicholas Jones, a transfer from Ohio State University, who spent last year in the British Columbia Hockey League.
