Ever have one of those days where it just doesn't pay to get out of bed? That could be the case for a Valley City man who crashed 2 different vehicles in a span of a few hours.

According to the AP and reported by KXMB-TV, police say the man in question crashed his semitrailer on I-94 near Valley City Wednesday afternoon. Then a few hours later, the same man in a different vehicle crashed a pickup truck into a pole in a hotel parking lot.

Reviewing the damage, the crash on I-94 wiped out a guard rail and dumped barley on the side of the road. According to state police, the incident closed one lane of I94 and backed up traffic for a bit.

The 46-year-old driver was not injured in the first crash but was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries for the second accident, when he crashed into the pole.

The investigation continues as police say they found drug paraphernalia on the man and in the pickup.
