WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — The Williston City Commission has approved a resolution that imposes sweeping controls on crew camps within the city limits.

The Williston Herald reports that the city will no longer take applications for new workforce housing, and it will not consider requests for expansion of existing workforce housing facilities.

City planner Donald Kress says there are about 17 crew camps within the oil boomtown at present.
