Here's a most appropos story for your Mothers' Day weekend.

Thursday night a woman gave birth in the parking lot of the south side Wal-Mart.

NBC North Dakota News reported Alesia Medeiros was just wrapping up her shopping when she went into labor.  Bystanders came to aid, calling 9-1-1- while tending to the woman.  Good Samaritan Kristen Rendulich wound up delivering the baby.

"I  grabbed the shoulders and kind of pulled as she was pushing and the baby came out and he was crying," says Rendulich.

The baby, a boy, weighed in at 4 pounds 14 ounces.  Both mother and son were reported to be doing fine late Friday.
