22 Year Old Man Thrown From Vehicle in a One Car Accident

A early morning accident seriously injured a 22 year old man Sunday (9/13) morning around 7.

ND State Patrol report Austin Smith was driving alone on Highway 81  when his car drifted from the road and into the shoulder. He then over corrected, then car crossed the center line and went into the ditch and flipped.

Smith was not wearing his seatbelt and was thrown from the automobile into a field and trees. He was transported to a hospital in Grand Forks.

The accident is still under investigation.
