St. Patrick's Day is a lot of fun for a lot of people. But it's not for everyone.

Friday will be filled with many St. Patrick's Day themed events and many people will be observing the holiday in the way they see fit.

Many individuals like to dress in green, go out to the bars, and have a good time. But the St. Patrick's Day bar scene isn't for everyone and you may be wondering if there is anything you can do on Friday that is fun, but not St. Patrick's Day related.

Fortunately for you, there are plenty of non St. Patrick's Day events taking place. We've highlighted a few of them below.

Bismarck Bucks vs Sioux City Bandits

    Bismarck Event Center

    7pm

The Champions Indoor Football League has arrived in Bismarck and the Bucks are playing in their first season. The Bucks have already played two road games and now will play at the Bismarck Event Center for the first time in the franchise's history.

It is a great family-friendly event and who doesn't want to get their football fix with the NFL season now over?

Certainly we expect spectators to show up to the game wearing green and many will consume alcohol. But the Event Center is probably a more controlled environment than your average bar. Plus St. Patrick's Day will not be the main focus. The game will be the focal point.

    The game starts at 7pm.

    Bismarck Bobcats vs Brookings Blizzard

    VFW Center

    7pm

The Bobcats only have four home games left this season so this is one of your last opportunities to see them in action. They will also play at the VFW Center on March 18, April 7 and April 8.

Puck drop on Friday night is slated for 7:15pm.

The night will feature an 80s prom theme and you are of course encouraged to dress the part. Of course there will be a buffet featuring the great Brazilian BBQ that Harvest Brazilian Grill has to offer. See more details on their Facebook Event Page.
