Well here it is, Saturday, December 10th, and we are all keeping our eyes on early next week

So here in Bismarck and Mandan, we are keeping "An Eye Out" for some nasty weather heading our way, and of course, WE all know just how quickly things can change out here. Will we get hit as hard as last April, when people were stuck in their dwellings for a couple of days? For me it's a no-brainer to look forward to when I get off work this afternoon, head to the store, to STOCK up just in case I find myself trapped inside my apartment while Mother Nature is kicking in. I'm pretty sure I won't be the only one there.

What are the immediate items you stock up on in preparation for a big storm?

For me it's easy, I'm a single guy with two cranky cats. I get myself set with some fairly easy things to fix for dinner, maybe a steak, some pasta, and of course a frozen pizza -definitely some cat food for sure ( or I would be thrown out on the street by 8 angry furry paws ) - I'm simple. I was curious what other people may shop for first, and a co-worker told me without even batting an eye "Booze" - then some other essential things like water, extra batteries, and such. One thing I have found since living here for the last 8 years is to never disrespect the weather. A full tank of gas is ALWAYS recommended. I know the unthinkable, what would you do without your Netflix for like an hour? If you have a family, make sure you have candles ready and a good old-fashioned game of Monopoly on stand-by ( ALWAYS have extra light near the banker so they don't throw a twenty in their pocket ) - Let's all ride this storm out together!
