Coming off a sluggish late season, the Bismarck Bobcats snapped to life in their playoff opener with a 4-2 win over the Aberdeen Wings.

Evan Giesler's hat trick was the high point for the Cats; Stanislav Dzakhov also scored for Bismarck.  The win snapped Aberdeen's streak of eleven consecutive wins.

Goalie Aaron Nelson held off a late-game surge by the Wings, turning away a game total of 29 shots.
