Both teams needed wins, but it was the Brookings Blizzard on top with a last-second empty net goal to beat the Bobcats Friday, 4-2.

The game started ominously for the Bobcats as Stanislav Dzakhov was ejected from the game for "instigating" a fight.  Evan Giesler and Nate Repensky scored for the Cats.

The loss puts the team at 28-16-4, a point out of first place.

The Bobcats get a shot at payback Saturday night at home against the Blizzard.  For tickets, click here.  And follow the Bobcats all season long on Townsquare Media's SuperTalk 1270 and SuperTalk1270.com
