A driver was injured Sunday when he drove his SUV into three cows on U.S. Highway 281, about 30 miles south of Jamestown.

According to Inforum, the driver 33-year old, Ronald White III from Edgeley was driving his 2011 Toyota 4Runner southbound when he hit three cows in the southbound lane, on the highway.

One cow was killed in the accident and the other two cows were injured, with severe enough injured to where the owner of the cows had to put the injured cattle down.

White did not have life-threatening injuries, but was transported to a local hospital for the injuries he sustained during the crash.

Local authorities and the ND State police responded to the crash and remains under investigation.

The accident occurred just after 7 p.m.
