Drought Raises ‘Serious’ Fire Concern

No surprise here...State Forest Service officials say drought conditions n the region are causing major concern about fires.

A Forest Service spokesman tells the Tribune that the potential for fire and its severity are more serious now than in previous years in June.

Gov. Burgum declared a drought emergency last week and directed state agencies to coordinate drought response efforts.
