A no fly zone has been issued over Cannon Ball, North Dakota through Saturday, November 5th, due to the Dakota Access Pipeline protests currently taking place in the area.

According to KFYR-TV, the no fly zone means that pilots are not allowed to operate aircrafts in the area until 5 p.m. on November 5th.

'Aircraft,' in this instance, is a blanket term which also covers the use of drones. Drones have been used in the area recently to cover the Dakota Access Pipeline protests, but they will no longer be allowed, as part of the no fly zone.

Just this past weekend, law enforcement officials shot at and damaged a drone that approached a helicopter in what was described as a 'threatening manner,' according to CBSNews.com.

More than 100 protesters were arrested near the Dakota Access Pipeline construction site on Saturday (10/22). Two different roadblocks were put up on Highway 1806 on Sunday (10/23).

Many expect more clashes between protesters and law enforcement in the future.
