Friday of course is Valentine's Day - and it's also the anniversary of one of the most notorious multiple-killings in our nation's history.

The "St. Valentine's Day Massacre," which took place in 1929, was part of a Prohibition-era conflict between two rival criminal gangs in the Chicago area: Al Capone's South Side Gang, and the Bugs Moran-led North Side Irish Gang.

The murder of seven North Side mob associates, has lived on in American pop culture, as the subject of numerous books and several movies, most notably Roger Corman's 1967 film, featuring Jason Robards.
