A Fatal Accident In Watford City Claims The Life Of A 6-Year-Old

A release from the McKenzie County Sheriffs Department reports that at approximately 6:50pm on Saturday, April 8th, a Toyota driven by a 19-year-old Watford City man was traveling in a parking lot of an apartment complex.

The Toyota came around a section of garages and struck a 6-year-old juvenile male that was riding his bicycle in the area. The juvenile male was pronounced deceased on scene.

North Dakota Highway Patrol, Watford City Police Department, McKenzie County Sheriff's Office, Watford City Fire Department, McKenzie County Ambulance, and the ND Bureau of Criminal Investigations all responded to the incident.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
